What is Adult Baby Hypnosis?

Adult Baby Hypnosis is used to enhance the role play where one participant plays the role of baby (usually a male) and is subservient to, and dependent on, a mother figure. There may or may not be an overtly sexual element to this relationship. The hypnotic element is used to increase the realism of the relationship (hypnosis is a good tool for enabling people to temporarily take on different roles and lose inhibitions). Obviously there is a further dependant relationship between a hypnotist and their subject which some people are attracted to.

Why would anyone want to act like a Baby?

For many people, being a baby was one of the most comforting and physically comfortable time of their life. Men - adult babies are invariably men - are expected to be strong, independent, and in control. The adult baby role play allows them to relinquish that control and its related stress, and return to the feelings they had when very young.

Aside from the fun role play elements, for some men being subservient and dependent is a major turn on.

As to why is this, you'll have to ask a psychologist. There is also a view that re-living the 'baby state' has similarities to taking opiates.

How do you perform Adult Baby Hypnosis?

The easiest approach is to use a form of hypnotic age regression, asking the client to go back to their earliest memories and see themselves as a baby, then imagine themselves in that small body and notice how it feels, notice what, if any urges they have, or any sounds they feel they want to make.

Then have them open their eyes remaining in that baby state and give them the post hypnotic suggestion that they only remained in the baby 'state' for as long as they wish and only while it is appropriate for them to do so.

Of course this kind of approach could be used to access any state/resource from the persons past. Perhaps it would be useful to remember the energy you had in your teens, or the ability to concentrate you had while at university. Age regression is one way to access these resources.

Rather than using age regression, another approach to adult baby hypnosis is to get the client to build a representation in their mind of what kind of baby they wish to be rather than of themselves as a child. This is especially useful if the client struggles to remember being young, or doesn't want to use their own memories as a template for how they are going to behave as a child.

Hypnosis is very good for allowing people to act outside of their usual boundaries and take on a new character either invented or borrowed from the media, such as film stars or even cartoon characters. The article Bimbo Hypnosis has more information on this use of hypnosis.
